Two thousand and four marks the 80th anniversary of Marley Roofing. As the oldest concrete roof tile manufacturer in the UK, Marley is extremely proud to have remained a market leader within the pitched roofing industry for the last 80 years. To mark this poignant occasion and to pay homage to 80 years of success, Marley Roofing has unveiled its very own museum, featuring the many roofing products the company is renowned for, including some of the very first Marley tiles produced.

The museum provides an overwhelming look back in time to how Marley Roofing began and details some of the many milestones along the way. Evolved from a family run business in 1924, Marley Roofing has been widely credited for the development of concrete roof tiles in Britain and is perceived as one of the foremost innovators in pitched roof systems with a proven track record of product success and durability.

Ridgefast - Marley's Exciting New Addition

Marley Roofing has made an exciting addition to its range of roofing accessories with the launch of RidgeFast, a low cost ventilated dry ridge system that can be used with all types of tiles, slates and standard ridges. Easy to install in a simple roll out operation, Marley Roofing's RidgeFast features a ridge roll membrane and a unique fixing method that means it is not only ideal for use with other Marley products, but is also universally compatible with other manufacturer's standard ridges, tiles and slates. To make things even easier for the merchant and contractor everything needed for the RidgeFast system is contained in one handy 6-metre pack.

The new fast dry ridge system has also been competitively priced so that it offers a viable alternative to a traditional mortar bedded ridge, with the added benefits that it is quicker, weather tight and maintenance free.

UK Roofing First With Marley’s Dalestone

Marley Roofing have launched Dalestone, a single lap interlocking stone slate that offers an authentic alternative to natural slate

The unique new Dalestone perfectly recreates the riven surface texture of stone slate. It offers all the aesthetic qualities of a completely natural product whilst enabling specifiers to benefit from the associated economic and
functional benefits of a high specification interlocking slate.

Further enhancing its traditional appearance, Dalestone is also available in three authentic shades; Flint, Harvest and Willow enabling specifiers to blend with the vernacular or create a traditional feel on new developments. The product is suited to various design requirements and can be complemented by Marley’s comprehensive range of ventilation and dry fix systems.

Manufactured from 30% recycled material including crushed natural slate, Dalestone uses minimal primary raw materials in its manufacture making it an environmentally sound roofing choice. Further adding to its glowing environmental credentials, Dalestone also achieves an ‘A’ rating in the BRE’s Green Guide to Housing Specification.
