Galvanised Steel Roof Drainage

Article Image 1

This time of year, when the weather slips below zero, there is a possibility of cracking a plastic gutter when resting a ladder against it, which wastes time and costs money while you fit a replacement.
One solution is Lindab Rainline. It comes from Sweden, where they know a thing or two about cold weather. It’s made of steel, with a galvanized, Aluzinc or Polyester-coated finish – and Lindab claim it’s more durable than plastic, lighter and less expensive than cast iron or aluminium and easier to install.
Don’t confuse it with that old-style bolt together steel guttering that dates back to the 70s. The system just clips together with an integral neoprene seal - no fixings, sealants or tools required. Once up, its high-tech coatings ensure it is virtually maintenance free.

Lightweight, high strength…
Lindab Rainline clips together just like plastic, is lighter and easier to handle than cast iron or aluminium, and is literally as strong as steel. With a tough rolled lip along its outer edge, you can use it as a ladder rest, no matter how cold things get.

…and surprisingly low cost
In comparison with cast iron or aluminium, galvanised steel is lighter, much easier to install, and cheaper. Costs can be comparable with PVC especially with the larger capacity gutters and there are none of the environmental concerns.
