Sandtoft has developed Duracoat - a new smoother and tougher finish for its concrete ridges & hips - that matches the texture and colour of its clay range. Duracoat gives the appearance of natural clay through the use of a highly durable multi-layered acrylic polymer coating. This new range of fittings has prolonged weathering properties and has been designed to complement Sandtoft’s New Generation range of clay tiles, including Neo Pantile, Cassius, Olympus and 20/20.

Commenting John Mercer, Sandtoft’s technical manager, says, “At only a small premium over standard concrete ridges, Duracoat ridges further reduce the cost of a clay roof. They are at least sixty per cent cheaper than clay ridges per linear metre and can save up to five per cent on the total cost of the roof.”

The Duracoat ridge range is available in three colours; Natural Red, Antique Slate and Flanders/Tuscan.
